San Francisco — July 18, 2011 — In support of Smart Irrigation Month in July, Janet Moyer Landscaping (JML), a full service landscaping company in San Francisco devoted to addressing the unique challenges of urban garden constraints, offers these tips:
1. Plan ahead. Draw a map of the area you want to irrigate. Identify locations of valves, the controller and irrigation lines. Then keep it current to allow for easier changes and fixes.
2. Keep your system as simple as possible. If you have many varieties of plant types or climate differences, use different zones. If they are similar, use fewer zones.
