Michael joined Janet Moyer Landscaping in 1992, after almost twenty years working in information systems. He holds a Master's degree in management and has had extensive experience in managing businesses and organizations.

During his long tenure at Janet Moyer Landscaping, Michael has studied widely in landscaping, attending seminars in horticulture, pest control, construction and arboriculture. He has earned several professional licenses, including a California landscape contractor's license, a California pest control license, a Certified Arborist designation from the International Society of Arboriculture, a Certified Water Manager designation from the CLCA Water Management Certification Program, Irrigation Contractor certification and a Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor designation from the Irrigation Association.

For inspiration in landscaping and innovative construction and installation techniques, Michael has traveled to more than 40 countries to attend meetings and seminars, visit botanical gardens and explore resorts and other specialty sites.
